Thomas Talley, MD and his three siblings grew up in Albany. He graduated from Deerfield High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Georgia in Athens.
He attended medical school at the Oral Roberts University and received his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. While participating in a medical missionary internship in Kentucky, he met his wife Lou Ann Best, who is a dentist here in Albany. They have one son, Daniel.
Dr. Talley returned to Albany in 1993 to join his father Dr. J. LeConte Talley in the practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Talley is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is active in several organizations including the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the American Medical Association, and recently served a two-year term as Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Dr. Talley’s hobbies include biking, backpacking, canoeing, sailing and mountaineering.
